Knowledge Transfer
Knowledge is a crucial foundation for accessibility, participation and empowerment. As the DfdK/Network Office, we see it as our task to support, promote and empower all stakeholders in the independent performing arts community through networking, training, consultation and exchange.
Networking & Further Education
In addition to our cultural-political events, we invite you to our popular Brot& format, which takes place at regular intervals at various locations in the city. While these events often focus on peer-to-peer encounters, our workshop programme offers you specific expertise on topics such as tax, KSK (insurance) or PR. If you have any suggestions or requests regarding formats and events, please send us an email. You can find our networking and further education offers here:

Campus freie darstellende Künste
↓
Gathering, communicating and maintaining knowledge – with these goals, the Bundesverband Freie Darstellende Künste created the the knowledge platform. The core content of the platform originated from four workshops on the topics of law, taxes, the Artists' Social Security Fund (KSK) and insurance, which the BFDK organised as part of the “Background” pilot project in 2021. The knowledge gained there will be made available on the campus site and will be expanded step by step in the future. So, it's always worth checking back here for more helpful knowledge.
NOTED: Basic Knowledge for Independent Performing Artists
↓
In cooperation with PK 3000, NOTED has started a process of analysing how we, as an umbrella organisation, can adapt and expand our training programme so that it is also accessible to people who have little or no contact with the German cultural, funding and bureaucratic landscape. Through NOTED, artists who are no longer able or allowed to work in their countries of origin have gained initial insights into how working as a freelancer works, in digital workshops, in networking activities and excursions, as well as in intensive working meetings here in Hamburg. The result is a brochure that summarises the compiled basic knowledge, which you can download in English.
»Toolkit with Care“ von Bühnenmüttern und Beyond Re:production«
↓
How about a toolkit to break down barriers for parents and other people with caring responsibilities, both for theater makers and audience members? It's time to make their right to participate in art and culture a reality. The Artist Lab “WITH CARE. Action Lab: connecting theatre, audiences and care work” has compiled a booklet with guidelines and suggestions for transforming production methods, funding structures and performance venues. Divided into the sections PRODUCING WITH CARE and AUDIENCE WITH CARE, the online and printed Toolkit WITH CARE brings together various expert opinions, experiences, real-life experiments, ideas and best-practice examples that empower care workers to make and experience theatre. NEDIKU - Network Diversity in Culture and Cultural Education Hamburg
↓
Hamburg cultural stakeholders and cultural organisations have joined forces to promote more diversity in Hamburg's culture and cultural education. The aim is to create a cultural landscape that reflects the diversity of our city and enables all people to help shape and participate in art and culture. This includes reducing existing discriminatory dynamics and creating equal participation opportunities for people who are excluded from the cultural sector due to racism, anti-Semitism, sexism, homophobia and transophobia, hostility towards people with disabilities, age or socio-economic status.
NEDIKU sees itself as network of networks of learning, in which clubs, associations, organisations, institutions and individuals are represented. Anyone who is committed to the objectives of the network can participate. Should assistance or accomodations be required, these will be organised as far as possible.
