KFP - Cost and Financing Plan for Artistic Projects

25.04.2025 | 10:00 - 13:00 | Location: tba | Participation fee: 10 Euro

A creative idea is the first step - but without a well thought-out financing strategy, it often remains just a concept. In this workshop, Julia zur Lippe, board member of the DfdK and managing director of the LICHTHOF Theater, will provide practical insights into the creation of cost and financing plans (KFP) for artistic projects in the independent scene. We will clarify important terms such as lower fee limit, fees subject to KsK and GEMA levies and show you how you can successfully apply for funding and tap into alternative sources of financing with a well-founded KFP.

Participants can submit their own KFPs in advance and ask specific questions, which we will address specifically in the workshop. At the end of the workshop, we will look at the funding landscape in Hamburg and discuss what special funding opportunities are available for the independent performing arts community.

Workshopleitung:

Julia zur Lippe
Born in Datteln (NRW) in 1972, grew up in East Westphalia and now lives in Hamburg and Berlin. During her cultural management studies at the University of Economics and Politics in Hamburg, she initiated the literature and music festival WEGE DURCH DAS LAND in North Rhine-Westphalia together with Brigitte Labs-Ehlert. After graduating in 2004, she worked as a freelance production manager and accompanied artists and productions in Hamburg, North Rhine-Westphalia and beyond - with projects in neighboring European countries such as the Czech Republic and France. In 2010, she took over project coordination at the transcultural art association Hajusom e.V., where she later became managing director. During her tenure, the association's team grew to five permanent employees and up to 40 freelancers before the ensemble's premieres. Artistic collaborations extended beyond Europe, with a particular focus on West African countries such as Mali and Burkina Faso.
Julia zur Lippe has been Managing Director and Co-Theater Director of the LICHTHOF Theater in Hamburg since September 2022. Her work there is part-time, so she continues to work in parallel as a freelance production manager and project manager.
