The Federal Ministry of Culture and Media (BKM) is expanding the funding architecture in the field of independent performing arts with a multi-year funding instrument that offers established artists or groups the opportunity to realize continuous and artistically high-quality work processes with the necessary planning security and to present themselves to a national and international audience. The aspects of visibility, accessibility and mediation are also crucial here. Continuity funding also serves to strengthen and further develop existing working structures.
Application requirements:
Regular successful production
Proof of national and/or international touring
Focus of life and/or work in Hamburg
At least one completed BKM conceptual grant
Artists with ongoing conceptual funding are not eligible to apply
The funding amount for interdisciplinary continuity funding is 100,000 euros per season over a period of three seasons, i.e. a total of 300,000 euros. The funding is announced every three years. Detailed information on the application requirements can be found in the funding guidelines (FRL FDK 2025).
