REALTALK is an exchange and critique format by Ruby Behrmann that aims to support artists from the independent scene in Hamburg in their concept phases, rehearsals and research in a critical and solidary manner. Every six weeks in three-hour sessions, up to twenty participating artists meet on the rehearsal stage in the Gängeviertel. For each session, three artists/groups have the opportunity to present their projects and work in progress. They decide for themselves what kind of feedback they need. The project is then discussed, further developed and constructively criticized in the group with the help of various feedback tools.
With the focus on the artistic work (funded or not), it is about inspiring, artistic, genuine and honest (REAL) exchange in solidarity in the independent scene. Thanks to this format, some people may no longer feel quite so alone when developing a concept, or an advanced project may receive honest criticism from outside their own circle.
The following REALTALK dates are available this year. Two works can be presented on each date, please register in good time:
10.4. | 5 - 8 pm
27.5. | 5 - 8 pm
02.7. | 5 - 8 pm
23.9. | 5 - 8 pm
16.10. | 5 - 8 pm
07.11. | 5 - 8 pm
