Tanzraumförderung (Dance Space Funding)

The DfdK is responsible for the administration of dance space funding on behalf of the Ministry of Culture and Media. The Tanzraumförderung (TRF) is a unique opportunity for independent dance professionals in Hamburg to deepen their work with their own bodies (also in collaboration with colleagues) and their artistic research. With funding from the Hamburg Ministry of Culture and Media, the Dachverband freie darstellende Künste (DfdK) manages the allocation of dance studios to independent dance professionals.

WIESE Support Fund

Inexpensive rehearsal rooms for the independent performing arts in the new rehearsal centre on Wiesendamm

Hamburger Volksbank has once again topped up the WIESE eG support fund with a donation to the Hamburgische Kulturstiftung. The support fund covers 50% of the rental costs for rehearsal rooms at WIESE. Hamburg's independent performing arts community, which is a member of the Dachverband freie darstellende Künste (DfdK), can therefore use the new, well-equipped rehearsal rooms at WIESE at very favourable conditions. There are 10 rooms, ranging in size from 40 square metres to 310 square metres with ceiling heights of 2.70 to 7.50 m, some of them with dance floors, which are available in the former machine factory on Wiesendamm.
